Have you considered a job in engineering? The job outlook for the engineering profession is expected to be growing nicely in the coming years. This growth is due to several factors, including growth in the number of businesses, changing business regulations, and increased use of technically precise materials or products requiring use of engineering talent. Additionally, as the economy continues to grow, demand for engineering is likely to increase as businesses need skilled help with special projects, product design, and manufacturing systems.

Job candidates with engineering certificates and degrees have an advantage in the hiring process, but even if you do not have those credentials, you can also succeed if you have good experience with engineering software such as CAD design tools, control systems, or apps like Autodesk. Employers prefer to hire people who are able to hit the ground running on the first day of their job without requiring ramp-up time due to training needs. After all, employers have to mind their budgets and expenses just like people do!

Make sure that your resume or CV lists all the relevant skills or tech experience applicable to your engineering career, as skills and experience with specific technologies and engineering software can get you hired for the job instead of another candidate who has a comparable amount of engineering experience similar to yours, except for the particular tech skills that you have!
