Senior Accounting Analyst

Our manufacturing client is seeking a Senior Analyst to oversee accounting operations for commercial products, encompassing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. This role presents an ideal transition opportunity for public accounting professionals with audit expertise seeking to advance their career in industry.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare month-end journal entries and inventory account reconciliations. Determine monthly accruals with department owners. Analyze budgetary variances and operational KPIs for production and materials. Support COGS income statement and balance sheet analytics. Prepare product costing reports, gross margin analysis, and KPI trends. Maintain proper documentation for all accounting transactions. Support annual budgets, forecasts, and Latest Estimates with assumption documentation. Own standard costing process for assigned product lines. Partner with operations on cost reduction initiatives. Assist with year-end inventory counts. Implement and document SOX controls and support testing. Coordinate with external auditors and vendors. Develop financial close and management reporting procedures.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. 3-7 years relevant accounting experience. Knowledge of US GAAP, SOX, and internal controls. Experience in fast-paced environments.

Preferred:
CPA/CMA or MBA. Manufacturing or public audit experience. ERP/financial systems implementation experience.
