Senior Project/Construction Accountant
Rutherford, NJ (Onsite)

My client is a highly successful and well respected Real Estate / Construction organization in Northern NJ. They are looking for a Senior Construction Accountant to join their team. Will be responsible for the activities surrounding the contracting process for the Company’s construction and renovation projects from conception to finish. The successful candidate will work closely with Senior Leadership. Great benefits and flexible work environment!

Responsibilities:
Preparation of monthly financial reports for construction projects. Percentage of completion accounting. Job cost budgeting and reporting. Risk management. Cash flow management to ensure projects are properly funded. Ensure compliance with all accounting standards. Construction loan draws. Lien releases and preliminary notices. Maintain internal controls and integrity of financial data.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance or related discipline. Minimum of 7-10 years’ experience in Construction/Real Estate. Strong knowledge of job costing, project management and percentage of completion accounting. Prior job cost administration/accounting experience in real estate development firm. Strong Excel. YARDI and / or Procore HIGHLY preferred.
