An established engineering consulting firm is seeking a Municipal Engineer to manage design projects and provide ongoing engineering support for municipal clients. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with local governments, oversee capital improvement projects, and guide multi-disciplinary design teams.

Key Responsibilities:
Act as the primary engineering contact for assigned municipal clients, attending public meetings and representing client interests. Lead the preparation of plans, specifications, and cost estimates for infrastructure improvement projects, including roads, stormwater systems, and utilities. Review development applications, subdivision plans, and zoning submissions on behalf of municipal clients. Coordinate with regulatory agencies to obtain necessary permits and approvals. Provide technical guidance to support capital planning and long-term infrastructure needs. Oversee junior engineers and drafters, offering mentorship and quality control on design deliverables.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline. 6+ years of experience in municipal engineering or infrastructure projects. PE license in NJ (or ability to obtain within 6 months). Experience preparing and reviewing plans, specifications, and reports for municipal projects. Proficiency with Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and related engineering software. Strong communication and public presentation skills.
