Director of Quality

The Director of Quality is responsible for ensuring product quality, safety, and regulatory compliance across the facility. They will lead the quality, sanitation, and compliance teams, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and serve as the primary liaison for audits, certifications, and regulatory bodies.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead daily quality operations, including lab, sanitation, and food safety programs. Oversee compliance with industry standards (HACCP, GMP, FSMA, SQF, etc.). Maintain and update food safety systems and site procedures. Guide internal and third-party audit readiness efforts. Analyze quality data, manage customer complaints, and implement corrective actions. Ensure all processes meet regulatory and customer requirements. Provide leadership, training, and development to quality staff. Partner with operations on preventive risk controls and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s in Engineering, Food Science or a related field. 12+ years of experience in food or beverage quality, including aseptic/ESL environments. Strong knowledge of thermal processing, microbiology, and regulatory compliance. HACCP, PCQI, and SQF certifications preferred. Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
