Executive Underwriter, Middle Market – Insurance (MAS)

Dallas, TX – Remote (must live local to Dallas area)

Responsibilities:
Serve as the lead underwriting contact for the region. Handle book of new & renewal business focused in the manufacturing, retail, wholesale, hospitality, and commercial real estate industries. Meet profitability, retention and premium goals. Make decisions independently within letter of authority and maintain proper file documentation. Meet with assigned agents/producers in territory, drive new business growth and develop annual business goals for assigned agencies.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree. 5+ years of commercial lines insurance experience in a production market-facing underwriting role. Strong knowledge of Workers Compensation, Property, General Liability, Automobile and Umbrella lines of business. Experience with manufacturing, retail, wholesale, hospitality, and commercial real estate industries. Possess strong established relationships with retail agencies to help drive new business growth in the territory. Excellent communication and analytical skills. Proficient in Excel, Outlook and content management software systems (ImageRight preferred). Insurance Industry Designations (preferred).
