The Maintenance Technician works in the Plastics division, troubleshooting and repairing injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment and performing facility maintenance. This position requires a high level of knowledge of electronics, hydraulics, robotics, and computer skills. Experience with plastics manufacturing is highly preferred.

This is a third shift role from 11:00 PM—7:00 AM, with a $1000 sign-on bonus . including three weeks of paid vacation and yearly reviews with merit increases based on performance. The environment is air-conditioned.

Essential Functions:
Operate shop equipment, including milling machine, band saw, drill press, lathe, welder, concrete drill, torch, and electrical tester. Proper use of a wide variety of powered and non-powered hand tools. As required, be trained in forklift and aerial lift/certified. Use the overhead crane according to OSHA requirements. Assist with mold changes of injection mold machines. Troubleshoot and repair injection mold and auxiliary equipment as directed. Maintain facility services such as water, compressed air, and electric supply. Perform preventive maintenance according to prescribed schedules or as so directed. Complete assigned work orders as directed, utilizing any computer-generated PM system. Perform duties in compliance with prescribed safety standards. Perform duties in compliance with prescribed housekeeping standards. Perform additional duties as assigned by management. Effectively and competently complete all of the required documentation of personal activities. Identify and communicate the need for spare or replacement parts. Follow safe job procedures, including, but not limited to: Lock out/tag out; Fall protection; Electrical safe work practices; Personal protective equipment.

Requirements:
Minimum 2+ years of injection molding maintenance experience or completion of maintenance training program. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must be able to diagnose electrical and electronic systems. Must be able to work with minimum supervision. Must be able to stand stationary all day and lift at least 50 pounds.
