My client is located in Western Morris County and is a Privately owned leader in the manufacturing and distribution space.

They are seeking a strategic Controller to lead the financial operations of the organization.

*** MUST have strong manufacturing company experience***

The Controller will manage the financial planning by ensuring accuracy, monitoring, making recommendations on, and processing financial reports, expenses, budget goals, financial loss and revenues, tax obligations, and financial disputes. Perform in-depth analysis comparing budgeted figures to actual performance, identifying variances and trends. Prepare and present regular financial reports and analysis. Lead financial planning, budgeting and forecasting processes to meet short-term and long-term objectives. Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements, working with external auditors as necessary. Drive cost-reduction initiatives and identify opportunities for operational improvements. Develop and oversee the company’s financial strategy, policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Manufacturing company experience. Implementing and/or driving standard costing / bill-of-materials initiatives. Procurement management, Vendor negotiations, costing, etc. Inventory management. Determination of optimal inventory levels, optimized lead times. Developing, implementing, tracking inventory metrics. Minimizing obsolete inventory. AR management. ERP / IT leadership. M&A experience. HR experience. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. CPA or MBA a plus.
