Industrial Engineer (BF)

The Industrial Engineer/EHS will enhance continuous improvement efforts across divisions by utilizing data-driven methodologies to boost performance in areas such as quality, logistics and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide insights for decision-making by calculating production, labor, and material costs. Lead improvement projects through technician training and guidance. Conduct Lean training. Offer expertise in food safety, operations, and EHS, especially in powder blending and flavors. Ensure adherence to safety policies and standards, identifying potential hazards and performing root cause analyses on injury trends. Lead monthly safety committee meetings, sharing industry best practices. Assist in creating process flows and SOPs for EHS and quality operations. Manage projects focused on quality and operational objectives. Track KPIs related to quality, safety, and incident reports. Support day-to-day food safety and quality operations. Drive employee engagement, training, and serve as the lead trainer for EHS and Food Safety. Adhere to all company policies and perform additional duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
Experience/Skills:
3+ years of experience in specialty chemical/ingredient manufacturing. Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus. Knowledge of OSHA, EHS, GMP, and SQF / FSSC 22000. Proficient in MS Office Suite and ERP / MRP systems (e.g., SAP, SAGE). Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
