Cost Accounting Manager

My client is one of the country’s hottest emerging growth companies. They are in search of a top notch Cost Accounting Manager.
The chosen candidate will be responsible for all cost accounting functions.
High visibility to Executive Leadership Team!

Responsibilities:
You will be a very important and essential member of the accounting/finance team. Will partner with Regional Controllers, Finance, and IT teams and manage a team of 2. Strong knowledge and experience in cost accounting and financial statements and inventory valuation. Responsible for reviewing and assisting staff in month end and quarter end entries related to inventory valuation and cost of goods sold. Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements. Review and improve the process of monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts ensuring appropriate support and expense analysis of P&L accounts. Knowledge of purchasing and A/P. Lead a team in continuous improvement processes for SAP system. Participating and leading special projects, system enhancements or ad-hoc analyses as needed.

Requirements:
Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. Proficient with current GAAP accounting standards and SOX requirements. CPA a plus. Experience managing a team of cost accountants. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow. Knowledge of accounting software and systems and SAP. Advanced proficiency in Excel.
