Production Planner is responsible for the technical management, supervision and control of the overall production processes.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
Work with cross functional teams including operations, procurement, logistics and sales to ensure customer expectations are met. Manage inventory levels relative to manufacturing capacity and capability; compile and schedule orders. Monitor raw material needs with procurement, monitor material shortages. Utilize market forecasts to anticipate necessary production changes. Analyze current and future raw material levels and finish goods inventory levels to plan production schedule for 2-3 weeks out. Evaluating raw materials, labor and equipment to ensure everything is in place for production. Collaborate with Production Manager to define workflow processes. Address production issues to minimize delays in production. Keep all departments abreast of changes to current production schedules. Release manufacturing orders to warehouses for transfers using Acctivate (ERP system). Recommending solutions to reduce production costs as well as create efficiencies. Post all manufacturing transactions once orders have been completed. Reporting on the production status and any production issues to upper management. Set master production planning, material requirements planning and production scheduling metrics targets.

Required Qualifications:
Associate or Bachelor’s degree or relatable work experience in logistics, supply chain. 5-10 years’ experience. Experience in consumer goods/food/flavors. Comfortable in warehouse/production environment. Experience with (windows), Microsoft Office, and Outlook. Excellent management, analytical and organizational skills. Travel-Less than 10% of the time.
