The Quality Compliance, Food Safety Director will ensure adherence to food safety regulations and quality standards, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement and standardize protocols and resolve issues. Responsibilities include reviewing compliance with SQF, GFSI, and HACCP, managing product recalls, overseeing standardized policies, and establishing Key Food Safety Performance Indicators (KPIs). The role also involves coordinating training, resolving discrepancies in shipments, and maintaining relationships with suppliers and customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Develop and administer standardized food safety policies for regulatory compliance. Establish reporting metrics and KPIs for monitoring food safety performance. Lead product recall processes, working with stakeholders and managing all aspects of the event. Support the formalization of SQF and customer specifications, including FSQA functions. Manage recall events and document nonconformance in accordance with guidelines. Coordinate ongoing training and compliance with manufacturing and warehousing personnel. Research and resolve discrepant shipments, ensuring accurate item maintenance in the company system. Maintain relationships with customers and suppliers to meet manufacturing and delivery specifications. Collaborate with Warehouse Manager to confirm Purchasing compliance with SQF audits. Establish a comprehensive Quality program, overseeing facility appearance, packaging, and procedures. Develop and revise SQF protocol manual, collaborate with management on risk mitigation. Communicate and implement changes or policies related to SQF, Food Safety/HACCP. Maintain documents on all manufactured products and prepare Certificates of Analysis (COAs). Implement new food safety software systems for compliance. Monitor and audit compliance with environmental testing and procedures. Complete required food safety/SQF training courses.

REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
10 years of experience in the food industry, with a focus on Food Safety Quality Assurance. Experience managing individuals. Bachelor's degree (relevant to food safety preferred). Prior recall experience. Experience in developing SOPs and knowledge of product traceability. Knowledge of SQF, GFSI, and HACCP required.
