Human Resources Generalist & Talent Acquisition
Hybrid – New York, NY (Midtown)

Our client, a specialty insurance firm, is seeking a driven and people-focused Human Resources Generalist & Talent Acquisition to join a growing team. In this role, you will design and execute sourcing strategies — including employer branding initiatives — to build robust candidate pipelines. Leveraging AI-driven recruitment tools and tech-enabled processes, you will attract and engage exceptional talent while owning the end-to-end hiring experience from first touchpoint to final offer.

What You'll Do
Talent Acquisition Process:
Partner with HR leadership to develop recruitment strategies that align hiring with the company's long-term growth goals, and manage the full recruitment cycle — sourcing, interviewing, and hiring — while delivering an outstanding candidate experience at every stage. You will collaborate closely with department heads to understand not just the requirements of a role, but the culture and unique dynamics of each team, ensuring every hire is the right fit on both counts. You will maintain an active presence across job boards, social networks, and professional communities, applying advanced sourcing techniques and AI-enabled tools to stay ahead of the talent market. A well-organized, accessible candidate database will be central to your work, enabling faster hiring cycles and reduced time-to-fill. You will also assist in developing screening and assessment methodologies, conduct initial screening interviews, and support offer negotiation through close.

HR Data & Operations:
Support the collection and maintenance of workforce data, preparing materials for performance, promotion, and development initiatives, and helping ensure reporting and audits run smoothly. You will implement automation and AI-driven solutions across the recruiting lifecycle to reduce manual effort and improve consistency. Build dashboards and reports that provide clear visibility into pipeline performance, recruiter activity, interviewer utilization, and hiring forecasts.

What You'll Bring
A bachelor's degree is preferred, or at least three years of experience in talent acquisition or a closely related role. You should have hands-on experience with full-cycle recruiting and a strong command of varied interview techniques and evaluation methods. Proficiency with social media, ATS platforms, HRIS systems, AI-enabled recruiting tools. Ability to document processes clearly and stay current with industry trends. Strong organizational skills, clear communication, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively are a must. Prior experience within an insurance agency, MGA, wholesaler, or reinsurance environment is a plus.
