The Bilingual HR Manager with strong labor relations and union experience will lead HR operations, support employees, and ensure compliance with employment laws and collective bargaining agreements. This role is ideal for a strategic, hands-on leader with a passion for building positive employee relationships in a unionized environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary HR contact for employee relations and labor matters in a unionized setting. Interpret and administer union contracts; participate in negotiations, grievance handling, and arbitration. Manage HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, compliance, and performance management. Foster a respectful, inclusive workplace by providing guidance to managers and employees. Partner with leadership to align HR practices with business goals. Lead a team of HR and administrative employees. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and labor regulations. Maintain accurate HR documentation and HRIS records.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required. 10+ years of HR experience, with at least 4 years in a union environment. Strong understanding of labor laws, union processes, and HR best practices. Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and leadership skills. HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) preferred.
