Tech Lead for the API COE team within the CTO, you will work with a product owner to lead the critical technology strategy for API Management at Prudential. Specifically, you will lead two teams of engineers, while contributing with hands-on engineering, to deliver on an API governance, standardization, and enterprise-usable API transformation program. You will also lead the implementation, management, and enhancements of the Prudential Developer Portal. You will partner with product owners, tech leads, and, most importantly, business application development teams to enable them on the Enterprise API platform. You will enable API best practices, engineer automated pipelines for building APIs while creating reusable, reliable, consistent, and scalable APIs for consumption across

Significant experience with API strategy; domain-driven and specification-based design methodology, developer portals, REST best practices, API standardization and governance. Significant API Architecture knowledge including REST, GraphQL, GRPC, Websockets, and Async API capabilities. Experience building and managing API/Developer Portals. Experience with API management strategies and API gateway technologies (Kong, apigee, mulesoft, layer7, etc.). Experience in API design & tools; swaggerhub, stoplight, REST, GraphQL, GRPC, asyncAPI
