A well-established luxury consumer products company with a rich heritage is currently in search of a Staff / Senior Accountant for a potential temporary to permanent position.

Position Overview:
Joining the corporate accounting team, the Staff / Senior Accountant will play a vital role in supporting the monthly and annual financial close processes.

Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate ledger entries and reconciliations. Ensure the accuracy of journal entries, roll forwards, and account reconciliations. Prepare and/or review various adjusting or closing entries for the profit and loss statement. Conduct thorough analysis of the balance sheet, including prepaids, accruals, and fixed assets. Collaborate with other departments and functions as required. Monitor and verify financial transactions in the general ledger for completeness and precision. Prepare explanations for profit and loss variances in monthly reports for senior management. Undertake ad hoc projects and financial analyses as needed.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting required. At least 4 years of accounting experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including vlookup, pivot tables, and if/then statements. Exceptional attention to detail. Outstanding interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating effectively across all organizational levels. Demonstrated expertise in reporting and financial management. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Have a window or an inspiring picture or poster on a wall nearby that you can look up at every once in a while for inspiration and to help your eyes maintain focusing ability at various distances.

By doing these simple and relatively low-cost adjustments to your workspace, you will be sure to make amazing productivity gains with minimal stress. Job searching is stressful enough as is, so having a nice work area in your home is a great way to make your job hunt more pleasant and your future job easier to do!
