How We Started
Clark Davis Associates is a family-run recruitment firm founded in 1987 by Frank Luzzi. Headquartered in New Jersey, we place candidates across five specialized departments — Accounting & Finance, Engineering, Human Resources, Information Technology, and Pharmaceutical & Biotech — for clients throughout New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania and across the United States.
We’ve placed candidates with accounting firms, law firms, brokerage firms, banks, insurance companies, manufacturers, pharmaceutical/biotech companies, consumer products companies, tech companies, real estate, construction and non-profits.

Clark Davis is led by founder Frank Luzzi and COO Frank Gallagher — affectionately known as “the Franks” around the office. Together they’ve spent over three decades building a recruitment firm that treats both clients and candidates like long-term relationships, not transactions.
Founder & CEO
After graduating from Rider University with an Accounting degree Frank started his career as a Project Accountant at Exxon. Looking for something more rewarding and people focused he moved into recruiting, eventually rising to a management position. In 1987, he launched Clark Davis Associates to build a firm grounded in a more thoughtful, people-first approach. Outside of work, he’s a dedicated family man and longtime high school baseball coach. In his spare time he’s passionate about fishing, golf, and travel.
Chief Operating Officer
As Chief Operating Officer, Frank has helped develop Clark Davis Associates into a nationwide staffing organization, guiding operations, client strategy, and business development since the late 1980s. He is known within the staffing industry for his operational leadership and long-term client relationships. He has been a key supporter of the Tuberous Sclerosis Alliance having served as Chairman of the Board and co-founded The Courtney Leigh Small Steps Fund. Frank is an avid golfer and is especially happy when spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.

Senior Director Information Technology/Engineering
With more than 30 years of experience in Information Technology recruiting at Clark Davis, Brian is known for building lasting relationships and many of his professional connections have evolved into meaningful friendships. His favorite moments are when a candidate or client appreciates his hard work and dedication and rewards him with a simple “Thank you.” He has a deep appreciation for a work/life balance that has allowed him to spend quality time with family, coach his children and never miss an important event.
Christian is a Vice President at Clark Davis Associates and a trusted partner to both clients and candidates throughout the hiring process. With nearly 30 years of experience in Accounting and Finance recruitment, he is known for his straightforward approach, deep market knowledge, and commitment to delivering the right fit. Outside of work, Christian is an avid golfer and follows the Dallas Cowboys. He and his wife are proud parents of two sons in college.
Director of Engineering
Joe was raised in Parsippany, where he played multiple sports competitively including wrestling, baseball, and golf. With 30 years experience in technical recruiting, he finds great fulfillment in helping candidates find the right opportunities, whether advancing their careers or rejoining the workforce, and in bringing renewed confidence to those facing a difficult job search. In his free time, he enjoys many activities including traveling and dining out.
Executive Director Pharmaceutical & Biotechnology
With more than 25 years of recruiting experience, Darren is known for developing long-term client relationships. He partners closely with organizations of all sizes to understand their hiring needs and provide strategic recruitment solutions. His ability to identify specialized professionals and align them with the right opportunities has made him a trusted resource in the industry. Outside of work, Darren enjoys staying active and creative—whether on the golf course, playing basketball, or painting and drawing. Above all, he values spending quality time with his family.
Director Human Resources
A Denville native who graduated from The College of New Jersey, Bryan Flynn takes a relationship-first approach to recruiting, partnering closely with clients and candidates and prioritizing responsiveness, professionalism, and clear communication. Known for his integrity and commitment to a positive hiring experience, Bryan focuses on building lasting partnerships. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, coaching his kids’ teams, and is an avid Yankees fan.
