Will assist with plant reporting, budgeting/forecasting, financial support and training to internal customers, and management of analysis of manufacturing activities. This position will also provide basic support in financial closing process. The Plant Sr. Financial Analyst will work cross functionally and perform ad hoc analyses to drive plant efficiency and performance.
Support operations through in-depth analysis and reporting of daily/weekly/monthly plant performance and cost drivers. Assist with the development of the annual budget and periodic forecasting and flash process for consolidation, reporting, and analysis. Responsible for tracking financial forecast accuracy and identifying root cause issues for solutions and to drive performance. Lead Inventory Control Specialist in identifying the drivers of inventory discrepancies. Provide technical guidance and support in inventory transactions. Create a process for reviewing waste, identifying and communicating key drivers and collaborate with Operations to highlight and implement process improvements to drive cost reductions. Develop a proactive process for tracking usage losses for customers to ensure proper accruals are made. Ensure timely and effective communication with customers regarding any and all claims. Collaborate with Operations to drive process discipline and adherence to policies and procedures across plant personnel in areas such as purchase order process, receiving/shipping, purchase card, inventory processes, spare parts counts, invoice resolution, capital spend, and other plant processes. Participate as a finance SME in projects to drive cost reductions in areas such as waste, repairs and maintenance, labor, and other plant related costs. Continuous improvement of financial reporting and validation processes for plant manufacturing. This includes, but not limited to: Automating/Optimizing reporting (ad-hoc and period end), accuracy and timeliness through tools such as BW and SAP. Refining weekly/monthly waste reporting processes. Developing Operational and Financial KPIs for manufacturing cost trends. Process Order Variance SME/support. Work with Operations and Engineering business partners to assist with monthly capital activity reporting, capital budget and capital cash flow forecasting activities. Train & educate operational business partners and other internal customers on best practices and system enhancements. Develop and maintain financial SOPs and documentation. Partner and assist in supporting the Supply Chain Finance and Operations teams on technical research and troubleshooting supply chain reporting issues related to manufacturing.
Education and Skills:
Undergraduate in Finance or Accounting required; CPA preferred. 4-6 years financial business experience in a manufacturing environment required. Experience coaching multifunctional teams on initiatives to drive process clarity, improvement and adherence in areas of opportunity to reduce cost. Experience in operational forecasting and analysis. Advanced knowledge of Excel REQUIRED. Proficient in PowerPoint, Word. Results oriented and deadline driven Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with demonstrated critical thinking, and problem solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication. Ability to pick up programs quickly.
