This Director, Strategic Commercial Alliances is responsible for leading 3rd party contracted sales/commercial teams for the Commercial Organization. The position is responsible for developing near and long-range objectives and strategic plans for each respective contracted team, in collaboration with Senior Sales, Marketing, and Commercial Operations leadership. The position requires effective management of 3rd party relationships and strong working relationships with customers, vendors and co-promotion partners. Maintains focus on innovation and continuous improvement.

Essential Functions:
Participates in the planning and implementation of new products, re-launches, new business building programs, sales rationale, etc. Ensures alignment between sales divisions and respective 3rd party contracted commercial team. Under the supervision of Executive Director Sales Operations, and in collaboration with Senior Marketing and Executive Leadership, acts as the Lead negotiator in 3rd party contract negotiations. Responsible for building and integrating high performing sales / commercial teams with sales force personnel. Identifies, creates, and manages business relationships with select companies to develop solutions and/or create complementary services. Defines mutual goals and objectives and builds awareness and support of overall strategic benefits of the alliance. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure effective performance. Identifies internal and external strategic issues that could affect growth. Scans environment for business opportunities, maintains surveillance over respective markets, and may perform relevant analysis. Develops and monitors productivity and growth areas. Drives creation and approval of strategic and operational plans. Plans and coordinates business reviews, resource allocations, and organization structures.

Bachelors Degree in Business or a related field. MBA or equivalent preferred. Requires 12 years of sales, sales management or sales/marketing or operations support experience in pharmaceuticals and/or related healthcare. Foresight and creativity in anticipating and resolving complex project and team issues. Exemplary interpersonal, negotiation, and relationship management skills. Outstanding strategic thinking, analytical and project management skills. Demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional work streams and have senior management interaction (presentations, etc.). Experience within Pharmaceutical Sales Force Compliance role.
