Regional EHS Manager (BF)

The Regional EHS Manager will serve as a key member of the management team in aligning and developing best practices, processes, policies, and programs for the company. They are responsible for the strategic planning, technical support and overall management for handling environment, health, safety, training and industrial hygiene issues. This position oversees regional teams, compliance programs, procedures, and policies associated with federal, state, and local regulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and implement regional safety strategy. Build and maintain credible relationships with first-level, mid-level and executive leaders in the organization through trust, consistency, collaboration, effective communication and results. Build, design, develop and administer EHS objectives and practices in the region that align with Company goals to drive the business. Implement EHS processes, including policies, which reflect compliance with Client and federal regulations. Work with Regional leadership team to ensure all key EHS operational controls are in place and that EHS action items are resolved on a timely basis. Advocate and drive for the resolution of EHS issues and concerns including internal investigations, corrective actions and coaching. Champion and model our core values, engraining them into the culture and the psyche of the organization. Oversee internal environmental, health and safety audit actions to ensure regulatory compliance. Develop and manage regional EHS budget. Continually challenge and evaluate the quality and effectiveness of EHS programs and services and implement changes as appropriate to meet business and local cultural needs. Manage implementation of site specific environmental, health and safety programs to ensure regulatory and corporate standards are effectively integrated into site specific procedures. Confident, self-assured and optimistic about change management initiatives and ability to deliver superior EHS results to the business. Committed to continuous improvement and tenacious in the pursuit of a goal. Strong team building and communication skills and the proven ability to influence and manage change. Strong business acumen, attention to detail, follow-up skills, and ability to influence and work with leaders and employees of all levels in a matrix organization. Experience developing core EHS policies, procedures and processes. Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of legislation, regulations, claims managements and accident prevention relation to EHS.

REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree. 8+ years directly related experience in development and administration of Health & Safety programs. Knowledgeable in construction Health and Safety regulations. Proven experience managing a team, creating and measuring goals in multiple locations. Communicates and interacts effectively with internal staff, office visitors, clients and vendors. Strong computer proficiency, with emphasis on MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel is mandatory. Must be able to travel regionally about 20% of the time.
