Responsible for managing, analyzing and reporting all financial related activities for the R&D organization located in Exton, Pennsylvania. (local candidates only please)

This individual will be relied upon for providing high quality financial reporting and forecasting information that informs and enables the organization. A thorough understanding of financial reporting requirements, hands-on experience driving the business planning & forecasting process, and the preparation of value-added financial analysis is required. Provide the necessary financial leadership and guidance to effectively manage annual performance. Manage the finance and accounting activities for their respective area of responsibility to ensure accuracy and compliance with our internal policies and procedures. Manage all accounting & finance activities including but not limited to: Budget preparation and interaction with budget owners, Forecast preparation for both short and long term, Maintaining cost center templates for budget/forecast purposes, Prepare monthly budget/forecast performance reports and review with budget owners, Ensure monthly accounting activities completed per close calendar, Present financial information to senior leadership/management teams as requested, Provide support and analysis as requested by departments from Parent Company including: Accounting, Corporate Planning, and R&D business heads, Manage the campus Capital Forecast/Business Plan and submission to Parent, Ensure timely process of capital asset requests, manage CIP for proper forms to capitalize, and report capital status to campus Management and Requestors monthly.

Responsible for accurate and timely preparation of forecast information including forecast review narratives, quarterly financial reviews of related development and G&A costs, and the preparation of the forecast review package for senior management. Manage the month end close process including accounting entries, account analysis, executive commentary, participating in review of results to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP guidelines. Preparation of the annual business plan and the development of budget presentations for review by senior management. General department / cost center financial support activities including local support of financial systems. Manage Capital Program including: 5 year projections, quarterly forecast updates to parent, monthly reporting to campus and timely processing of capital forms. Ensure consistent application of process across all spending areas from a reporting, budgeting, and forecasting standpoint. Drive continuous improvement and automation of key processes.

Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance required, Master's degree in Finance or CPA preferred. 10+ yrs Finance experience, including a minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership and management experience. Superior analytical finance/accounting knowledge and financial modeling skill/experience. Experience in pharmaceuticals required, pharmaceutical R&D experience preferred. Understanding of internal control requirements and GAAP accounting, as well as understanding of relevant business environment.
