The Manager, Corporate IT Solutions, HR-Workday is responsible for managing all system support and development activities an ensure all technical and functional aspects of Workday HCM (Recruiting, Onboarding, Absence Management, Advance Compensation, and Benefits), Payroll and Time Tracking solution is in alignment with Human Resource department requirements and strategic objectives. In this role, he/she will provide leadership in process/system analysis, design and development to identify, recommend, implement and support cost-effective technology solutions; serve as the primary escalation point from project/program inception to delivery; maintain alliances on projects; manage demand, scheduling requirements/conflicts; make operational decisions; and direct cross-functional teams (of business and technical resources) through the full systems development life cycle management of projects/programs relate to Workday and related ancillary HR systems (such as learning management). In this capacity he/she will provide also technical expertise in all aspect of Workday components and function with knowledge and expertise in integrations, security, reports, web services, connectors etc.

IT Leadership and Operational Management. Provides daily management for Human Resources and Payroll Solution IT projects and other initiatives to deliver results. Leads and manages the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of Workday HR and Payroll systems, including applications, integrations and infrastructure upgrades in conjunction with business process owners and infrastructure teams. Responsible for overall quality and delivery of end-user services, including technical support services for Human Resources and Payroll Systems. Manages managed service resources in order to meet SLAs. IT and Business Alignment. Provide business consulting services to Human Resources and Payroll business team leads including systems integration best practice, and process excellence principles. Partner with key HR stakeholders to identify and analyze business drivers to derive business, information, technical and solution architecture requirements. Support the Human Resources and Payroll application architecture decisions helping to ensure they are consistent between functions, align to enterprise architecture, and leverage opportunities for common approaches. Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for spending and initiatives. Human Resources and Payroll Solution Architecture Leadership. Make recommendations for the improvement, optimization and evolution of the Human Resources and Payroll application systems as business needs change.

Bachelor degree in the field of computer science, data science, information science, management information systems, health science or business administration or equivalent experience relevant to this position. Advanced degree considered a plus. Minimum 5 years related work experience. Experience managing IT teams to architect and deploy of Human Resources and Payroll IT solutions in the pharma and/or biotech industry. Strong business analysis skill and experience, including development of business/IT vision and strategy, requirements definition, process modeling, and operating model design. Solid systems orientation with a thorough familiarity of emerging technologies such as cloud computing, mobility, social, IoT, and big data and its applicability to the HCM Solution area. Strong problem solving ability through insightful solutions which address complex issues. Ability to dissect root cause of issues creating the best solution for considering quality, cost, and speed requirements. Strong Workday technical knowledge and extensive application support experience with Human Resources and Payroll Solutions. Strong understanding of project management principles and Systems Development Life Cycle standards. Agile/Scrum experience, strongly preferred. Strong understanding of Human Resources and Payroll business functions including principles, practices, and procedures. Experience in managing application data in accordance with data privacy policies.
