EHS Manager (BF)

Job Location: Elizabeth, NJ

The EHS Manager is responsible for overseeing environmental, health, safety and regulatory compliance programs and policies.

Responsibilities:
Manage the development, implementation and compliance of safety programs and work procedures, associated with federal, state, and local regulations and company policies. Create and implement EHS manuals, programs, procedures, and standards. Make recommendations to senior leadership on safety, quality, and environmental compliance program and policy development. Develop and implement safety communication
eporting processes and safety strategies. Manage compliance systems. Coordinate audits and agency inspections. Analyze, review and share all necessary EHS data. Implement and support SQE initiatives and directives across the region. Evaluate compliance issues related to operations and develop solutions to resolve problems. Lead investigation teams for incidents and develop/implement corrective actions. Ability to handle multiple projects and issues with short deadlines. Other responsibilities as needed.

Requirements:
Bachelors’ degree required. 6+ years’ experience in EHS. Experience in manufacturing, terminals, chemical, construction, or industrial industries/facilities. Working knowledge of air, water, and waste federal and local regulations. Advanced knowledge of OSHA regulations. DOT and USCG experience and PSM and RMP regulations are a plus. Strong technical skills. Management experience.
