Senior Production Planner (BF)

Job Location: San Francisco Bay Area, CA

The Senior Production Planner will plan and coordinate all materials necessary to support the production operations. The Sr. Production Planner will coordinate with Purchasing, the Production Planner, and Operations team to ensure the timely flow of raw materials to the site.

Responsibilities:
Develop and manage the master production schedule for the manufacturing site. Responsible for scheduling, sequencing, prioritization and monitoring production performance for a complex manufacturing process. Lead weekly cross-functional meetings with customer service, operations, product management teams to provide status of customer orders. Partner with Production, Quality, Procurement & Logistics teams to ensure production schedules/timelines are met while meeting monthly shipment/financial plans. Lead Sales and Operations Planning supply meetings for the FMT site while providing key insights into supply/capacity constraints (capacity utilization, canister planning, RM inventory levels etc.). Monitor and evaluate weekly/monthly operational results (on time shipments, inventory record accuracy etc.). Maintain ERP master data (lead times, bill of materials, lot size, etc.) while driving inventory accuracy. Work under limited supervision and has significant responsibility for efficiency of operations. Work on complex issues requiring an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Develop and maintain procedures related to production planning process. Develop planning models to support effective production planning. Support development and implementation of improved planning systems (MRP, APS)Work with Material Planner to cross train and develop backup coverage for each other. Train and mentor new planners on processes and tools.

Required:
Bachelor’s degree. 6+ years of relevant experience in supply chain management including supply chain planning/scheduling in complex manufacturing environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated proficiency in using office applications including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving capability. Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. APICS certification preferred.
