Help Desk – Level 1 Support (MD)
Job Location: Parsippany, NJ
This person is primarily responsible for providing desk side support to client end users. This person should have experience providing technical support for basic computing issues. (Password resets, email, Windows issues) This role is for someone who is looking to gain more experience in the technical field.
Work within a call center environment and provide hands-on and/or telephone technical support to client end users. Provide resolution and assistance to Windows problems. Enter, retrieve, forward, edit, and close service tickets using client ticketing systems. Provide resolution and assistance to standard supported applications: MS Office, Internet Explorer, Antivirus and other supported proprietary applications and systems. Document and assign call tickets to related IT groups for further support.
1-2 years help desk experience preferred. Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications. Excellent customer service skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Skilled with organization, decision making and time management. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems. Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software problems. Knowledgeable on software installations.
