Manager, Business Development (TAS)

NJ Based Pharmaceutical Company is hiring! Seeking a Manager, Business Development. Play a key role in evaluating opportunities and in understanding current and future markets to help inform strategy for in-licensing and acquisitions.
Develop robust business cases for the business development team. Evaluate products for potential in-licensing and acquisitions. Conduct analysis on products to inform go-no go decisions and strategies for in-licensing and acquisition opportunities. Develop and maintain resources regarding the pipeline for use internally and externally. Scan the marketplace within assigned areas to identify products and opportunities to evaluate for in-licensing. Develop and maintain database of partners, potential products and market knowledge to develop assessments for internal and external pipeline product decisions.
Bachelors Degree (BA/BS) – Required. Master Degree (MBA) – Preferred. A minimum of 5 years of business experience required, preferably in a pharma business development role. An MBA would be the equivalent of 2 years of experience. Forecasting experience and understanding of creating and validating models is a must – Advanced. Demonstrated analytical skills, including market research, competitive data analysis, financial analysis and crystallization of key business insights. Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to communicate across a variety of internal and external partners and functions at all levels within the organization. Solid understanding of financial and accounting principles.
