Manager Accounting (TAS)
Job Location: Parsippany, NJ
Critical accounting leadership role responsible for the financial close for all US legal entities. Managing the monthly close process for the US business and oversight of a team of 3 accountants. Review of journal entries, account reconciliations and quarterly analytical reviews. This role ensures the US ledger is prepared in accordance with GAAP and Company Policies. Also responsible for the Accounts Payable department including timely and accurate processing of vendor payments, T&E and all related internal and external requirements.
Ensure timely and accurate accounting close of the US general ledger in accordance with GAAP and Company accounting policies. Lead the Accounts Payable function to ensure timely and efficient processing of payables, set up of new vendors, managing T&E process/system and execution of disbursements. Create and maintain standard operating procedures and strong internal controls for all processes. Collaborate with the Consolidation, Tax, FP&A and External Reporting teams to help manage the submission of US financial information for monthly, quarterly and year-end internal and/or external reporting purposes. Establish goals for teams and create and track performance metrics in line with Finance strategy.
Bachelors Degree (BA/BS) Accounting or Finance – Required. At minimum 8 years overall relevant experience managing accounting operations in a pharmaceutical or manufacturing environment. Minimum 8 years experience managing people or function. Ability to effectively build positive team dynamics and manage performance and development of staff – Advanced. Possess a strong understanding of US GAAP and accounting systems, internal controls, financial reporting, and financial statements analysis. JDE experience preferred. Strong PC skills required, particularly in the Microsoft Office suite. Active CPA preferred.
