Benefits Manager (BF)

Job Location: Morristown, N.J.

The Benefits Manager is responsible for managing the overall employee benefits program. The position develops, recommends, and implements new or modified plans and employee benefit programs and plans.

Responsibilities:
Leads the overall direction of the Company's benefit programs including design, implementation, communication, and administration. Responsible for ensuring programs meet employee needs, comply with legal requirements, and are cost effective. Evaluates, develops, and makes recommendations to management. Supports the organization's strategic objectives and keeps senior management apprised of internal and external issues. Develops weekly, monthly, or quarterly, reports as requested by management. Understands employee benefits; researches and makes recommendations on actions regarding benefits. Manages vendors and broker relationships for all benefit plans. Researches and stays abreast of changes in federal/state regulations as they relate to health and welfare; informs department of these changes. Manages LOA processes on a daily basis. Administers FMLA policy. Acts as a liaison to the HR Department. Manages retirement programs. Manage retirement plan audit by outside agency in order to comply with federal regulations. Manages the 5500 process so that all regulatory reporting requirements are satisfied. Directs, trains and develops benefit team members. Maintains and makes recommendations in changes to corporate policies and procedures. Develops and maintains employee handbook to insure policies are current and makes/proposes changes as necessary. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree. 7+ years of benefits design, administration, and management experience. Understanding of broad-based benefits plan components, operations, and administration. Knowledge of applicable government regulations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including, Excel. Strong oral and written communications skills. Strong customer service skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail. Good people management skills.
