Director, Finance Planning & Analysis – Commercial Finance
The Director, Finance Planning & Analysis-Commercial will provide financial analysis, reporting and business decision support to senior members of the Leadership Team. This position will be responsible for the financial forecast and monthly performance of: Commercial sales and margin for generic business and all sales and marketing the operating US operations.
Responsible for analysis of financial performance versus budget forecast and prior/sequential actual periods working with management to fully understand major drivers and fluctuation for period variances and other relevant benchmarks in a timely manner. Responsible for development of Annual Operating Plan and periodic revisions/updates and LRP's, including consolidation of business objectives for all relevant cost centers. Monthly discussion with management team on sales, marketing, general and administrative expenses. Analyzes business development opportunities and coordinates accounting due diligence efforts. Routinely analyzes, communicates and is exposed to highly confidential information regarding M&A, restructuring plans, spending cuts, etc. Identifies inefficiencies and acts as a change agent to identify areas in which the business unit can improve / reduce expenses. Provides timely and clear communication of the spending impact of Brand decisions. Prepares and updates MD&A commentary inputs for 10Q & 10K. Participates in edit/validation of press releases, audit committee/board presentations, GAAP-non-GAAP reconciliations, etc.
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required. Advanced degree preferred. 5+ years Pharmaceutical/Biotech/medical device or consumer packaged goods industry commercial experience required. People Management / Project Management experience is a must. Experience in large company ($500 million +) environment within a matrix reporting structure preferred. Strong influence management skills. Professional accreditation highly desirable (MBA/CPA/CMA). This position may require up to 25% domestic travel as business demands. Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder. No Relocation candidates please.
