Customer Service Representative (BF)
Job Location: Bergen County, NJ
The customer service representative provides effective customer service by establishing a working relationship with external customers.
Produce and negotiate customer quotations and proposals. Act as an account manager. Monitor production order schedules and expedite delivery per customer requests. Operate inventory control software, word processing and spreadsheet applications. Generate correspondence to secure additional customer information to resolve customer disputes. Compile statistics and prepare various reports for management. Maintain detailed files for documentation. Create proposals, letters, quotes and miscellaneous correspondence. Serve as liaison with factory, scheduling, and shipping personnel. Serve as a backup for the receipt and processing of customer purchase orders. Process change requests. Follow up on orders to ensure delivery by specified dates. Compute price, discount, sales representative’s commission and shipping charges as required. Answer sales calls and provides information as needed. Prepare invoices and shipping documents such as export papers and commercial invoices. Answer questions from customers or directs them to the person able to assist them. Experience within a manufacturing industry.
