Responsibilities: lead global consumer insights and market intelligence function for the CHN business unit. Heavy collaboration across marketing, strategic development, R&D and Sales, BD, Operations, Quality and Value Chain teams. Work cross functionally with additional business units such as Personal Care & Health & Hygiene. Will also be managing consumer/customer market research initiatives, exploratory analysis and insights into new platforms/innovation areas, and setting up the Competitive Intelligence Excellence center for CHN. Market Research. Conducts qualitative and quantitative custom research projects to qualify new product concepts, consumer attitude/usage tracking, and other ad-hoc research initiatives. Provides analysis based on market and other data; develop insights and provide recommendations to support the business' growth initiatives. Partners with Sales & BD teams across customer innovation sessions to identify customer needs/gaps/opportunities to support new product innovation. Plan, develop and deliver market intelligence updates for the Consumer Health & Nutrition/Animal Health/Food & Beverage markets to support the CHN business team. Competitive Intelligence. Establish and lead the competitive intelligence function, including gathering and analyzing relevant data from key internal and external sources. Participate in strategy development efforts by driving the collection, compilation and analysis of market competitive intelligence. Analyze and interpret information on competitor intelligence including competitors' offers/market share, value propositions, alliances and market relationships that are impacting client market position and success. Conducts market analysis for new potential M&A targets.

QUALIFICATIONS:
6-8 years professional work experience, Bachelor's Degree essential, MBA is a plus. Preferred area of study: market research, marketing, market research, business, statistics, consulting or other related field. Preferred global industry experience in B2C or B2B Consumer Health & Nutrition, Food & Beverage, Animal Health and/or Personal Care. Strong analytical background and market analysis and/or market research experience required. Experience managing direct reports and working closely with cross-functional partners and external agencies. Ability to establish and maintain key relationships with external and internal business leaders in various locations. Manages vendor relationships, contracts and MRD budget activities. Expert knowledge (MS Excel/VBA, and MS Power Point) and experience with database management required. Expert level knowledge of Mintel, Datamonitor, Euromonitor and/or Nielsen applications. Understanding of business strategy and planning.
