Revenue Accounting Mgr (TAS)

The Accounting Manager will be responsible for the accurate and timely performance of various assigned functions in support of the month-end close and statutory reporting process. Oversee the company’s recognition of revenue in accordance with ASC 606 accounting requirements. This will include the calculation of revenue and expense on a monthly basis, analyzing variances, reporting on key metrics, and maintaining internal controls around key processes. Manage the preparation of monthly journal entries, review of financial statements, preparing and / or reviewing balance sheet accounting reconciliations, supporting the quarterly reporting and audit cycles by preparing reporting schedules and assisting with external audit requests, and overall ensuring proper accounting treatment of transactions in accordance with GAAP.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support the month-end and quarterly close and reporting processes including the calculation of revenue and expenses associated with upfront fees and capitalized costs, preparation of monthly journal entries, review of financial statements, preparing and / or reviewing balance sheet accounting reconciliations, and overall ensuring proper accounting treatment of transactions in accordance with GAAP. Streamline accounting data and processes and work cross functionally to design and implement changes. Support the quarterly reporting and audit cycle by preparing reporting schedules and assisting with assigned audit requests and internal reporting. Assist in the research and documentation of technical accounting issues. Coach and develop accounting staff. Assist in the preparation and review of financial results through balance sheet and P&L analysis and ensure compliance with internal and external reporting requirements. Assist with ad hoc financial projects.

REQUIREMENTS:
Strong technical accounting and analytical skills. Knowledge of practices and concepts associated with GAAP.
Strong PC skills, including Excel, Oracle and Hyperion (HFM). Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required – MBA or pursuing MBA preferred. 4-7 years of progressive accounting experience. CPA REQUIRED**** Prior or current Big 4 or large regional public accounting experience preferred. Strong PC skills, including Excel, Oracle and Hyperion (Enterprise/HFM).
