HR Director

Hybrid position in Irvine, CA

The HR Director will be responsible for developing, planning and delivering strategic and tactical plans, programs and services that support business needs, foster engagement, and drive performance and productivity. This includes organizational build-up, performance management, employee engagement, learning & development, employee relations, talent management, change management, succession planning, and other global HR initiatives as assigned. This role reports to the Global Sr. Dir. HR located in Asia.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The HR Director will develop and execute human capital strategies. Partner with key stakeholders based in the Americas. Be a strategic leader who can deliver broad HR expertise and collaborate with counterparts globally. Experience in the areas of HR analytics, leadership development, talent management and recruitment, change management, organizational change, training, employee relations and engagement, and talent retention while supporting company goals. Train and develop Managers/HR Business Partners and high-level executives. Design Human Capital Plan demonstrating people strategy with the business strategy to deliver results and improvements. Drive effective employee communication and employee engagement programs. Be aware of current trends and have an eye on the future. Implement strategies to maximize human capital. Lead initiatives related to change management and organizational development. Be an influencer and process improvement leader. Lead the design and implementation of Human Resources programs.

REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s Degree in HR or related field; advanced degree a plus. 15+ years of HR experience. 6+ years management experience. Proven HR Generalist experience including recruiting, benefits, HRIS, compensation, payroll, compliance, employee relations and talent management. Pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical devices industry experience required. Strong leadership skills and executive presence. Strategic mindset - ability to engage in detailed discussions while linking back to the big picture and broader vision. Excellent presentation skills. Strong problem solving and decision-making skills. Clear and concise communication skills. Very organized and detailed oriented; able to manage multiple and conflicting priorities. Travel required.
