Our rapidly growing consumer products client is currently seeking a Controller with a strong business acumen. This role will support domestic operations while reporting to the corporate office in Europe. The Controller will act as a true partner to the business and continuous improvement of finance processes.

Responsibilities:
Managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results. Coordinating and preparing internal and external financial statements. Coordinating activities of external auditors. Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement, and implementing new processes. Evaluating the effectiveness of accounting software and supporting database, as needed. Developing and monitoring business performance metrics. You own working capital analysis and improvements (AR follow up/ Inventory mgt analysis/ proper payment flows/ Weekly cash, etc.). Developing and monitoring business performance metrics. Manage monthly and annual close of income statement and balance sheet, the reconciliations of accounts, and G/L analysis. Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts and monitor them monthly.

Requirements:
Strong knowledge of US and International rules, standards, and procedures for financial reporting and statements; specifically, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Earlier experience in public accounting is highly valued. Advanced credentials such as a Master of Business Administration / MBA or Certified Public Accountant / CPA are preferred. BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or another business-related field. Outstanding technology, analytics and management experience required. Progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred. Solid understanding of budget forecasting. Knowledge and experience with MS Office, SAP 4 Hana (Cloud) are a plus.
