The Associate Director, Commercial Development supports the Oncology Marketing Business Unit for EMEA, Americas, Japan and Asia, providing: Market/ commercial assessments and forecasts for new products, indications and formulations. Market/commercial assessments for in-licensing opportunities / early stage assets. Expert analysis into Oncology markets and commercial operations using advanced predictive analytics. Partner with Sales and marketing teams to identify and track KPIs that are tied to brand strategy. Evaluate data sources and recommendation. Deliver insights that lead to increased demands for Oncology assets. Partner with executive management to provide decision support.

Essential Functions:
In-market data forecasting and analysis for existing products and for in-licensing opportunities for the Oncology therapy area. Market/ commercial assessments for new products, indications and formulations. To partner with Market Research, EGOBU in order to turn competitive intelligence into insightful data. Report/ KPI development and generation. To regularly update Health Outcomes, Business Unit and BU regions with market data. Liaise with global and regional colleagues to provide targeted forecasts across the 4 main regions and individual markets. Work with the regions to get adequate production forecasts. Liaison with Finance to meet their needs for updated forecasts.

Additional Responsibilities:
Ensure accurate budgeting of data providers with business unit members. Expert analysis into Oncology markets and commercial operations. Expert knowledge of global market environments, including but not limited to demographics, healthcare systems, pricing and reimbursement and optimal launch activities. Provide support in creation of presentation materials, e.g. for Joint Steering Committees. To provide back up support as necessary to Business Intelligence counterparts. Any other tasks required regarding Business Intelligence or within Pharmaceutical Services.

Requirements:
International travel required. Knowledge of global markets. Proven track record in building new capabilities and innovative solutions to enhance decision making. Strong overall statistical analysis capability, with ability to lead/coach direct reports or peers working in a matrix. Experienced in project specification and project management via third parties, e.g. external agencies running qualitative and quantitative research projects. Trained to use IMS Audits and other relevant global industry data. Working in a sales force with a sound understanding of the Pharmaceutical industry. Experience in business brand planning. Knowledge of Oncology area. 12+ years of experience working in global pharmaceutical or biotechnology company.
