Mobile Manager

This role will have a direct, lasting impact on the company’s digital growth and expansion roadmaps, standards, and processes on a global basis, and help evolve and mature our existing products in ways that enhance users’ experiences. This role will be more hands-on than management, with the goal being to help build a team of mixed in-house, remote, and offshore developers and solutions engineers.

Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Mobile Product Owner and drive team, process, and architectural standards that reflect the unique complexities of mobile development while also complementing existing and ongoing work within other areas of Global Technology. Help build a mixed team of in-house and off / near-shore developers that are responsible for building, maintaining, and evolving their iOS and Android offerings. Oversee day-to-day development within the mobile platforms, helping to mentor and grow the technical competencies of the team through code reviews and active development. Provide direct management, career mentoring, and a focus on retention for a growing mobile / full stack engineering team. Take a data-driven approach to product development and iteration, and help continue to advocate and assist other business partners in doing the same. Help coordinate and communicate project estimations to the rest of the management team as well as stakeholders.

Requirements:
Experience leading and contributing to high-functional, large-scale architecture. Experience leading remote teams as well as in-house mobile / full stack developers. Extensive experience with iOS and Android development. Extensive experience with mobile application security and authentication methods / protocols. Experience working with hybrid and cloud application stacks. Experience working within a service-oriented application platform. Experience working within environments that rely heavily on automation, CI, and CD concepts to rapidly deliver, measure, and iterate on products and features. Passionate about product-focused, data-driven decision making and continuous iteration. Experience with Agile / Scrum methods, practice, and ceremonies.

Skills:
Excellent communication/presentation skills both written and verbal. Leads conversations with both technical and business counterparts. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience. 8+ years of recent experience in developing / architecting many facets of native mobile applications.
