Director of Finance and Accounting

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Management Reporting. Oversee all financial operations and direct corporate financial planning and structure. Coordinate, analyze and report the financial performance to Management (financial performance, projections and other special projects as required). Prepare and supervise financial reports in liaison with all other departments in the company and then present it before Management. Strategic planning for ongoing year. Supervise business performance for the past fiscal year as well as the current one and take steps to improve the performance for the upcoming one. Prepare short and long-term financial forecasts of financial performance for use with internal management and external parties. Lead the annual business plan development and budgeting process. Provide ongoing financial modeling and analysis expertise to business partners. Lead the financial modeling and analysis to support the development of long term strategic initiatives and business plans. Lead the quarterly outlook process. Cash and risk management. Manage ongoing banking relationships for maximum efficiency. Develop cash flow forecasting and maintain a long term cash forecast. Responsible for the management of the foundation’s insurance and risk management program. Oversee the annual insurance renewal process and ensure appropriate coverage is maintained at all times. Review finance of preferred vendors. Manage financial resources and conduct resource planning for future needs. Accounting and financial controls. Oversee audit and tax functions, coordinate activities with outside audit firms and review firms performance. Oversee the continuous improvement of accounting and financial processes and the development of the team with the goal to achieve best practices and optimal output. Oversee the external audit, review and analyze results and recommend for approval the audited financial statements.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. 10-15 years of total accounting experience, with increasing levels of responsibilities. 5 years management experience. Excellent technical expertise in regards to GAAP. Hands-on approach, extremely detail oriented. Advanced knowledge of Excel, including complex functions and formulas. Previous Pharmaceutical, OTC and/or CPG industry experience highly preferred. CPA or MBA preferred.
