Senior HR Manager - Somerset County, NJ (Hybrid)

JOB SUMMARY:
The Senior Human Resources Manager will serve to foster a positive company culture with responsibility over talent acquisition, engagement and retention, employee relations, performance management, immigration, benefits administration and compensation planning.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Partner with recruiting to provide support to assigned clients. Including but not limited to sourcing, hiring events, diversity outreach programs, interviewing and maintaining the Applicant Tracking System. Implements and facilitates HR initiatives and projects. Champion training and development including leadership development. Assists Benefits Manager with disability and FMLA communications. Provides guidance on benefits related issues. Leads the annual performance management process by consulting with managers and employees. Mediates employee relations issues. Conducts investigations and manages/facilitates corrective actions. Responsible for complying with federal, state and local requirements including the Affirmative Action Plan; files EEO-1, 4212 reports, etc. Partners with Immigration to file work visas as it pertains to employee sponsorships. Assists with unemployment claims as well as represents the company at unemployment hearings. Excellent communication skills, team player, supportive leader.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
BA/BS in Human Resources or related field - Required
MA/MS in Human Resources or related - Preferred

WORK EXPERIENCE:
8-10 years or more Progressive HR experience - Required
3-5 years supporting pharma/biotech/lifesciences

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
SHPR - Preferred
SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP – highly preferred
