Our client, a digital health consultancy agency, is in search of an experienced HR Manager who will be responsible for applying business knowledge and human resources expertise in ensuring smooth and efficient business operations. Your role as an HR Manager will be far from one-dimensional. You’ll undertake a wide range of HR tasks, like offering guidance on recruitment & retention, administering employee benefits and leaves and crafting HR policies. Additionally, you will use HRIS to ensure all employee records are up-to-date and confidential. And you’ll also act as the main point of contact for employees’ queries on HR-related topics.
Maintaining and updating employee files: HR, Employee Health, Agency and Contract Services. Preparing and maintaining employee new hire packets and ensuring accurate and timely completion of the new hire process. Preparing employment status reports for payroll, HR and/or compliance purposes. Processing and maintaining all workers’ compensation claims, unemployment requests, FMLA and leaves of absences. Provides coaching, leadership and support to supervisors and employees regarding Human Resources policies, procedures, programs, questions and concerns. Leads and manages all employment practices which include recruitment and professional development of employees. Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements. Participates in employee disciplinary and/or counseling issues with supervision as necessary; reviews any disciplinary documentation as it may apply. Manages performance review process and ensures employee training is inclusive of any competency development plans. Administers all employee benefit and payroll programs and coordinating with supervisors as necessary; works with payroll if needed to answer employees’ questions about checks. Ensures employee on-boarding and orientation is effective. Follows-up as necessary. Strategically planning and handling recruitment and retention functions.
5+ years Human Resources experience required. Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business or related field required. Previous HR experience in a building out a professional HR group including process improvements and implementation of HR policies. Expertise in benefit administration, HR and Employee Relations functions, payroll administration, and state and federal employment laws. Resourceful, problem-solving aptitude and thorough knowledge of HR procedures and policies. Advanced knowledge of MS Office, HRIS systems, and comfortable learning new technology systems as needed.
