Manufacturer of steel components needs someone to find and negotiate with suppliers, optimizing the logistics and distribution of goods and services, and supervise 3 buyers. Will develop procurement solutions and develop and implement sourcing strategies utilizing Epicor-MRP inventory systems. Will manage invoice reconciliations, RFQ management, manage the implementation of MRP Procurement initiatives, audit supplier procedures and documentation with quality management, and establish JIT and VMI protocols to eliminate obsolete and excess materials. Position will require 5-10% nationwide travel. Will require 2+ years experience in strategic purchasing with knowledge of inventory and supply chain management preferably in a mechanical or fabricated metal product industry. Working towards a CPIM, CSCP, or CTLD is a plus.
