The role requires a big-thinking self-starter who is both strategic and hands-on, as you will be responsible for the full range of Human Resources support at the client. You will play a key role in supporting our company wide automation and integration initiative, owning the evolution of the process around employee development, from training to growth, and recruiting associates with the skills required to excel in this competitive market. The Human Resources Manager will:
Plan, organize and controls all activities of the department. Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems. Lead company compliance with all existing governmental and labor legal and government reporting requirements. Conduct recruitment efforts for all exempt, nonexempt and temporary workers, work with supervisors to screen and interview candidates; conduct reference checking; extend job offers, conduct new employee orientations; monitor career path program and employee relations counseling; conduct exit interviews. Develop and implement training programs, providing necessary education and materials to managers and employees, including workshops, manuals, employee handbooks and standardized reports. Continue the implementation of the performance management system, including crafting employee development plans and performance development plans. Coach and train managers in communication, feedback, recognition, and interaction responsibilities with the employees who report to them.
Determine and recommend employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale and motivation. Obtain cost-effective, employee-serving benefits in partnership with senior management and the Payroll/Benefits Manager; recommend changes in current benefits offered, especially concerning those aimed at employee satisfaction and retention. Develop processes and metrics that support the achievement of the organization's business goals. Liaise workforce committees to promote a positive working environment for all team members. Develop a comprehensive annual review and performance evaluation strategy to ensure professional growth among all team members.

QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate will possess: The ability to collaborate as a team player and interact successfully with people at all levels within and outside of the organization in support of larger goals and objectives. Demonstrated experience and success in standard recruiting and hiring practices, as well as social media. The ability to work with both hourly staff and upper management. Knowledge of current federal, state (NJ, MO & CA) and local labor laws. Outstanding interpersonal relationship building and employee coaching skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. The ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.

REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Human Resources Management or Business strongly preferred. 5-8 years of progressive leadership experience in Human Resources. Bilingual in Spanish required; multilingual strongly preferred. Knowledge and experience in employment law, compensation, employee relations, safety, and employee development. SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRMSCP) credential is preferred. Experience in the administration of benefits and compensation programs and other Human Resources recognition and engagement programs and processes. High proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Human Resources Information Systems. High proficiency in HRIS systems; preferably Paylocity. Active affiliation with appropriate Human Resources networks and organizations. Knowledge of the apparel business and/or the Promotional Products Industry preferred.
