The Digital Strategist partners with our client’s brand marketers and product managers and with internal account, digital project managers, technology, analytics and creative teams to lead digital marketing programs and proactively identify digital opportunities for the brands we serve. This person must be a pattern seeker as well as a dot connector. They will look for patterns through analytics, technology trends, audience insights and brand strategies. Once a strategy has been determined, the Digital Strategist begins the process of shaping programs, tactics and ideas that align with our client’s strategic imperatives. This role requires this person to be knowledgeable about all aspects of the client’s business and brand.
Create digital marketing plans and develop tactical plans. Develop client relationships built on trust and confidence. Serve as strategic digital counsel on assigned accounts. Direct internal strategy teams in employing a variety of research techniques to understand and analyze online data and provide insight about relevant online conversations and voices in those conversations. Serve as an internal and external expert on social media trends. Work with leads in Digital Creative, Development and Production to create strong cross-functional teams, build holistic client solutions, and create new offerings. Work with internal teams and clients to challenge medical and regulatory status-quo and deliver projects that are innovative, note-worthy, and successful for clients. Develop unique POVs that can be delivered to clients based on unique data insights. Pro-actively bring new thinking to clients based on market dynamics. Build a consistent pipeline of work for yourself; grow strategy business on a core account. Build small project plans with guidance. Diagnose how to tackle the client problem in terms of processes/tools to use and general approach. Manage complex and sophisticated projects and deliverables. Proactively suggest alternative approaches to solving problems. Uncover digital insights and provide thought leadership in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
4-6+ years of relevant work experience in digital communications or marketing, including paid, earned and owned digital media within the healthcare space. Experience in an agency environment or other client-facing business environment. Holistic background in channel development; experience in the consumer or B2B space is desired. Track record of working with strong creative teams to produce compelling, objective-driven campaigns. Deep passion for digital marketing and communication.
