Benefits Specialist will support the implementation, communication, and administration of benefit programs for employees. This role will handle the day-to-day operations of group benefits programs in compliance with benefit laws and regulations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Support all US benefits programs, processes and systems. This includes group medical, dental, vision, life insurance, accidental death & dismemberment, disability, state and Federal leaves, EAP, flexible accounts, and 401(k) plan. Assure company complies with all laws and regulations pertaining to benefits plans including ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, FMLA, etc. Monitor effectiveness of programs and assist with recommendations on benefits enhancements and changes, model cost impact, improve processes and plan designs to reduce costs and increase efficiency. Assist with annual open enrollment process. Communicate to employees and former employees about benefit programs, procedures, and changes. Audit the accuracy of employee records in all data tracking systems. Manage Leave of Absence request. Handle benefits inquiries and complaints to ensure quick, equitable, courteous resolution. Assist with company wellness programs.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors degree required. 3-6 years of benefits experience. Knowledge of compliance requirements for health and retirement benefits plans. Experience with ADP Workforce Now is a plus. Strong Excel skills with proficiency in the use of functions and pivot tables. Proactive and solutions oriented, takes initiative and follows through. Highly organized and strong attention to detail. Ability to work in a team environment.
