The responsibility of the Planner is to forecast, plan and recommend for procurement materials required to support production of product lines as they align with sales.
Plan and request for purchase material based on sales forecasts for assigned products. Expedite material through Purchasing, Receiving and Inspection, and Quality to assure production and sales demands are met. Plan and release work orders to build and/or reconfigure products as required by customer or forecast demands; expedite work orders to completion with Manufacturing. Follow the implementation of Engineering changes and coordinate with Purchasing, production and engineering to completion. Maintain documents to be reviewed for inventory material movement as required and maintain inventory levels. Communicate with Customer Service and Sales Support as needed regarding product availability to meet commitments to customers.
BA/BS and 2-3 years of experience in a planning and/or manufacturing environment. Knowledge of ERP Systems (SAP highly preferred). Strong Excel skills (pivot tables).
