Develop promotional scientific content of client communication programs with a focus on key messages, content and overall quality of all educational materials, in conjunction with relevant colleagues within the business unit and external contacts.

Provide Scientific Acumen and Support. Act as one of the key medical contacts for the account team on assigned accounts. Design, develop, implement and manage disease and promotional educational campaigns. Research, write, annotate, edit and proof copy to the highest standard (scientific and grammatical) for a full range of educational materials and target audiences. Assists project teams by providing scientific input at critical junctures. Support senior scientific staff as needed. Familiarizes himself/herself with product strategic plans. Coordinate materials through internal/client/speaker approval, creative/design/production to print, according to best practices. Check editorial and fact check comments and incorporate all comments. Accurate and precise implementation of client/opinion leader corrections. Provide on-site support as needed to meet the needs of clients, e.g., on-site writing/editing, video interviewing, faculty support, and competitor intelligence gathering. Assist with presentations to clients/speakers/third party organizations. Create and maintain references for assigned products. Maintaining an in-depth understanding of relevant therapeutic areas. Good knowledge of a number of therapeutic areas, medical products and the pharmaceutical industry. Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced agency setting. When appropriate, interacts with clients and KOLs. Attends internal planning and start-up meetings to offer medical and scientific input. Supports potential opportunities for existing products and new business efforts. Performance Standards. Actively integrates existing brand related content into new communication projects. Demonstrates in-depth knowledge and continually maintains/strengthens understanding of brands and businesses. Displays high level of scientific understanding. Advanced Scientific/Medical degree (PhD, PharmD, MD). At least 2+ years medical/scientific writing/editing experience (at least one year in promotional medical education a plus). Problem solving/diplomacy skills. Be able to work independently and still collaborate internally. Good knowledge of therapeutic areas and therapies and is able to acquire knowledge quickly in new therapy areas where required. Strong PowerPoint and presentation skills.
