Compensation & Benefits Manager (JM)

Reporting to the Regional Director, People Services you will be responsible for developing regional compensation strategies and programs to support the attraction, retention and motivation of employees, to meet the regional business objectives and build a high performance organization. Effectively consult with Regional HRBPs, Country HRBPs and Business Leaders to research & evaluate organizational needs as well as develop solutions and set up competitive Compensation programs to meet the needs of multi-generation workforce. Analyze benefits cost trends and manage vendor relationships. Ensure fast and prompt resolution of employee benefits issues. Recommend and install approved, new, or modified plans and employee benefit policies. Additionally you will have two direct reports, Analyst Compensation & Benefits LATAM and Pension & Benefits Specialist


Responsibilities:

Partner with HRBP's on Compensation: Train HRBP's where necessary on Compensation-related subjects (for example Salary levels, Salary structure, AIP, Equity). Provide timely information they need to do their job (for example Salary ranges, AIP target percentage). Acts as a consultant to provide input and review compensation proposals for new hire, promotions & off-cycle salary increases. Understand and communicate to Global Compensation where there may be concerns / issues on Compensation. Support them where needed and / or requested for instance in case of (involuntary) terminations and internal transfers of employees. Regional owner for international and domestic mobility process including contacts with tax consultant and relocation providers. Supports the Global Mobility process and owner of the expatriate processes for cross-regional assignee's. Owner of the US Domestic Relocation Policy. Prepare cost projections and calculation of estimated net income for potential transfers on a local or local plus basis. Ensure that the mobility process in the region runs smoothly and identify areas of improvement. Where necessary, draft guidelines in collaboration with global compensation. Provides consultative advice on regional transferee’s compensation packages to Regional HRBPs. Prepare job evaluations using the Hay methodology for new positions or current positons in case of a substantial and material change in job content or appeals. Conduct & participate in C&B surveys and benchmark with other key companies in similar industries so to analyze total compensation & take proactive actions to ensure the C&B programs remains competitive. Analyze and critically review benchmark data. Discuss data and request feedback from HRBPs and Business Leaders. Make recommendations to Global Compensation based on feedback from HRBPs. Assist HRBP in negotiations with employee representative bodies (Unions. Work's Council, etc). Prepare calculations of proposed scenarios for increases or provide professional input to proposals to changes on other employment conditions. Manage and implement changes to existing benefits plans and new initiatives including overseeing the communication/training plan, partnering with business engineers, Director of HR Technology & Services, and the Global HR Service Delivery Manager for required system updates. Build and manage the benefits inventory. Monitor market trends, obtain advice from benefits consultants, consult with the People Services Managers, and make recommendations to Director, Global Compensation & Benefits to maintain company's competitive position in labor market. Maintains knowledge of and analyzes government regulations, benefit program trends, and prevailing practices among similar organizations. Analyze and predict future benefits costs for budgeting purposes; coordinate the premium and claims payment process; analyzing variances; support and oversee corrective actions.
