Manage and own end-to-end process and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for both internal management reporting and reporting under GAAP. Research and document the accounting and reporting impact of complex transactions including derivatives and hedging, real estate and leasing. Assist with the implementation of new accounting standards and company policies as well as assessing the accounting impact and developing new workpapers and processes. Manage the finance due diligence process related to M&A transactions and prepare due diligence findings. Support external audit and SOX from a finance and M&A perspective. Lead the accounting for business combinations, including coordination with valuation professionals, development of the purchase price allocation and ensuring that all complex accounting matters are appropriately documented. Analyze financial model and the underlying assumptions used. Assist M&A team in aligning accounting policies for target companies. Assist with the update of controls including assessing any control gaps and changes in processes. Work closely with various stakeholders to prepare and support valuations. Assist in special projects as needed.
A BS/BA degree in Finance or Accounting and CPA is preferred. A strong technical accounting background with a knowledge of US GAAP, SOX 404 and ASC 842 standards. A minimum of 5-8 years with a minimum of 5 years of Big four public accounting experience. A proactive approach to problem identification and remediation solutions, and excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to interact and build relationships across all levels of the organization. The ability to work independently, complete work timely, and work well as a team member. Strong organization skills.
