The temporary Manager FP&A – Sales & Marketing will support monthly and quarterly Accounting close activities including accruals, provide management timely, accurate, relevant and insightful financial information and reports, and work with budget owners to develop forecasts and ad hoc financial analysis for Sales and Marketing departments.
Finance liaison for Sales & Marketing depts. to build annual budgeting and quarterly Latest Estimates. Interacts with business partners (heads of Field Sales, Marketing etc.) to help them budget, forecast and analyze spend variances in their departments and develop associated risks, opportunities, and action plans. Prepares and distributes timely and insightful financial reports used to determine progress against strategic plan, budgets, forecasts, and prior year and conduct one on one meetings. Complete quarterly analytics and Managements Discussion and Analysis in support of companys Results of Operation. Review contracts and POs to confirm appropriate approval, proper project coding and whether budgeted. Activities overseen by Sr. Mgr. FP&A S&M/R&D as well as Sr. Director FP&A. Other duties may be assigned as needed (i.e. ad hoc support Research & Development and General & Admin. Depts).
Minimum 5 years of experience in financial analysis, management reporting, financial planning/budgeting or related area. Minimum 2 years experience in a corporate environment required; experience supporting Sales & Marketing depts., pharmaceutical industry experience preferred. Demonstrated working knowledge of US GAAP. Proficient with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access). Demonstrated knowledge of accounting and financial reporting software. Proven excellent analytical and quantitative skills. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills including technical writing and presentation skills. Proven ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities and meet deadlines.
Bachelors degree in finance, accounting or closely related field from accredited college or university. CPA or MBA preferred.
