VP of Operations and Technology (JM)

The VP Operations & Technology role is a key member of the senior leadership team, reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and directing the organization’s operations and technology initiatives that will drive extensive and sustainable business growth while ensuring operational control of diverse business activities. Candidate must be an experienced and effective leader with excellent people skills, business acumen, exemplary work ethics, and exhibit exceptional speaking and presentation skills. Must have experience in project management, leading technology integrations and system initiatives, and possess financial reporting and analysis competencies. Candidate will support and execute the Association’s strategy plan as directed by the CEO. Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day operations, ensuring projects are on track. Report monthly progress to CEO & Sr. Management, and quarterly progress to Board of Directors. Member Services; Certification & Professional Development; Finance/Accounting; Building & Material Services. Set goals for performance and growth for direct reports that are in alignment with strategic plan. Assist CEO with managing progress on strategic plan and reporting progress to Board of Directors. Ability to lead board level discussion on state of finances in cooperation with Controller. Establish policies, practices and processes that promote company culture and vision. Lead employees to encourage maximum performance and commitment. Evaluate business performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics. Assist the CEO with special projects and initiatives. Write and submit reports to the CEO and BOD in matters of significance. Participate in expansion activities (investments, corporate development, alliances etc.). Manage relationships with partners/vendors.


Key Competencies:

Proven experience as VP of Operations or relevant role. Proven experience leading & managing Technology teamSr. Clinical Study Manager - Neuroscience/General Medicine Dept. Proven experience managing vendor relations. In-depth understanding of business functions and experience directing the activities of Finance/Accounting, Technology, Building & Material Services etc. Strong Financial Reporting background. Strong vendor management background. Demonstrable competency in strategic planning, business development and financial analysis and reporting. Technology savvy and forward thinking. Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics. Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities. Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills. Excellent decision-making and problem-solving. Strong sense of urgency and ability to act quickly to gather information needed to make timely decisions.


Qualifications:

Degree in relevant field required; MBA preferred. 10+ years’ relevant experience.
