HR Assistant (BF)

The HR Assistant is responsible for a wide range of HR initiatives. The primary focus for this position includes; daily administrative and assist HR team with payroll processing, record maintenance, LOA, attendance, employee relations, employee engagement, training, onboarding, compliance with corporate and local policies and procedures or other personnel issues. This position will also support finance and accounting functions, as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Review update and process biweekly and weekly payroll. Provide administrative support to the Human Resources Manager, HR Generalist and Finance/Accounting. Work closely with managers and front office staff to ensure the smooth and efficient organization and operation of the general office functions at the manufacturing facility. Update and maintain employee files, prepare reports and provide information to employees regarding HR programs and policies. Coordinate the employee recognition and retention gifts program. Maintain confidential HR files and databases. Maintain records related to performance reviews and disciplinary actions. Perform employee file audits to ensure that all required documentation is collected and maintained. Assist employees by providing answers to employment related questions. Participate and assist with orientations, onboarding, terminations, benefits enrollment and other hiring needs. Assist in benefits commutations, including LOA, disability, worker’s compensation and unemployment claims. Other special projects and tasks as assigned from HR or other departments.

REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors Degree in HR or equivalent. 1-3 years HR experience. Understanding of HR and accounting functions. Payroll processing experience, Ceridian Dayforce preferred. Strong attention to detail. Extensive computer knowledge Microsoft Office Suite. HRIS experience a plus. Previous administrative HR experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Ability to multi task and prioritize multiple assignments. Administrative and organizational skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office required (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Effective communication skills-both written and verbal. Excellent customer service skills. Excellent organization skills with the ability to set daily priorities and goals. Ability to work independently and efficiently in a high volume work environment. Ability to protect confidential information.
